Posters
- The maximum size for posters is A0. Stands and clips will be provided, so you just need the poster itself. There is a print shop named Print Corner around the corner from the conference venue, as well as various other local printing places, especially close to the Warsaw Technical University.
- You’ll be able to set up your posters from 8:00 am on Tuesday 2 September. Posters will be shown in the mezzanine space visible when you enter the building from the ground floor.
- On the programme you’ll see a Poster Madness session at 18:30 on Tuesday 2 September. This is an opportunity to give a quick advertisement for your poster, explaining the headlines in no more than 2 minutes. To make this run smoothly, with time for all posters, we ask you to do this without slides or other visual aids.
- Posters can then be up throughout the conference. On the programme, you’ll see sessions at 16:30 on Wednesday 3 and Thursday 4 September, which are set aside for people to come and talk to you about your posters.
Parallel talks
- There are 30 minutes, including Q&A, for each individual talk in the parallel sessions. We suggest around 20 minutes for the talk itself, leaving 10 for Q&A.
- For parallel-session symposia, how you divide the time is up to you, but please keep to the overall limit of 2 hours. Each symposium has been assigned a chair (see the programme and it would be good to discuss with them how you plan to divide the time, etc.
- Please bring anything you want to show on screen on a USB. There will be local computers available to present from. If you prefer to present from your own machine, we’ll accommodate that wherever possible, but we can’t always guarantee whether the connection will be HDMI or VGA. Bring your own clicker, as we are not sure if we will have them (they always get lost).
- Please set things up in the relevant room in advance of your session, so that set-up doesn’t eat into your 30 minutes.
