Abstract

Literature shows that third culture teens are seen to often experience a mix of societal expectations and norms which can lead to different developmental processes in comparison to stable residing teens. This research explores how the psychological wellbeing of adolescents is affected, either positively or negatively, as a result of multiple moves to different countries throughout their lives. The research is being conducted in an international school in Spain, participants being selected via convenience and snowball sampling. The methodology used is Narrative Analysis which is particularly relevant to this study as it focuses on the stories that these individuals recount about their lives. Through semi-structured interviews, the personal lived experiences of these adolescents are explored and analysed. This study is one that is ongoing and is expected to be completed by July 2025.
